Shinta Hernandez will offer participants a hands-on opportunity to develop renewable assignments using the framework in the global award-winning United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Open Pedagogy Faculty Fellowship. In breakout sessions, they will receive tools to help create renewable assignments (with Creative Commons licensing) that are designed to achieve global justice through community engagement, incorporate an inclusive curriculum through a decolonized framework, and combat systemic racism through interdisciplinary connections. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have at least started creating one renewable assignment that can be considered for implementation in their courses.
